Movement Network Foundation Announces Third-Party Review Into External Market Maker Abnormalities

The Movement Network Foundation, the organization dedicated to advancing MoveVM technology, is conducting a comprehensive third-party review of external market maker practices following recent abnormalities detected in market operations. Groom Lake, a private intelligence firm specializing in the digital asset sector, has been commissioned to conduct this review. This represents the Foundation’s commitment to full transparency, accountability, and continued trust in the Movement ecosystem.

The Foundation considers this review a best practice and emphasizes that operations are continuing normally during this process. It would be inappropriate to speculate on potential outcomes or actions before the review is completed.

Movement Labs, a Web3 company and core contributor of the Movement Network, affirms that its leadership team remains unchanged, with Rushi Manche and Cooper Scanlon continuing to work closely together with the rest of the leadership team to advance Movement's mission and roadmap. The core team remains fully aligned on Movement's vision and execution strategy. To start, the team will deliver Parthenon V2 and MoveDrop, as well as complete Phase 1 of Cornucopia.

As part of its commitment to transparency and the MoveVM ecosystem, Movement Labs is assessing its governance structures and leadership responsibilities, with plans to implement comprehensive governance reforms. The Foundation looks forward to sharing details about its strengthened governance framework once Groom Lake’s review is complete.

The review comes at a time of significant momentum for Movement, with the successful issuance of the $MOVE token and increasing adoption of the Move language across the blockchain sector. Movement remains dedicated to its mission of building a modular framework for Move-based infrastructure, applications, and blockchains.

The Foundation will share appropriate findings and resulting actions once the review is complete. In the meantime, all operations continue as normal, with no disruption to ongoing development work, community initiatives, or strategic partnerships.
